KOOTENAY EMERGENCY RESPONSE PHYSICIANS ASSOCIATION

Become a Volunteer for KERPA

Support life-saving care in the Kootenays—where it’s needed most.

KERPA is a physician-led critical emergency care charity providing prehospital medical support to 911 calls across the Kootenay Region. Our operations are specialized, high-acuity, and mission-critical. Because of this, we seek volunteers with specific skills and backgrounds who can directly enhance our mission.

Who We’re Looking For:
We’re currently inviting expressions of interest from:

Physicians (especially with emergency or prehospital experience) willing to donate or volunteer time on callouts or training days.

Medical professionals interested in clinical education, simulation support, or equipment prep.

Allied professionals with experience in:

    • Grant writing
    • Fundraising and donor engagement
    • Digital media, video, or graphic design
    • Logistics or supplies (with relevant background)

Why It Matters:
Every volunteer we bring on board helps extend our reach, whether it’s sending an emergency response physician to a trauma scene or ensuring our vehicles and equipment are response-ready. KERPA’s impact depends on operational readiness, medical excellence, and strong community support—all of which benefit from skilled volunteers working alongside our clinical team.

“Volunteering with KERPA isn’t just about giving time—it’s about saving lives through targeted, high-impact support.”
