Our Impact
In our rural region, access to critical emergency care is often challenging due to the distances from hospitals and the rugged geographical terrain.
Living in a rural area presents significant challenges when it comes to accessing critical emergency care, particularly due to the distance from hospitals and the difficult terrain. When an immediate threat to life arises, KERPA is dispatched alongside paramedics and first responders, doing everything possible to improve the patient’s chance of survival.
By dispatching trained physicians in fully-equipped vehicles carrying specialized medical equipment and medications, our goal is increase a patient’s chance of survival, and avoid or reduce suffering from critical injuries by delivering pre-hospital care right on scene.
This critical emergency care is free to the patient and we do not bill MSP or receive funding from the government. We are fully supported by the kindness and generosity of donors and sponsors who embrace our lifesaving mandate.
